Take a creative pause and discover the relaxing, playful world of collage in this welcoming workshop for adults at Art Up Front Street led by instructor Mae Schneider.
In this two-hour workshop, participants will create original collage artwork using torn tissue papers, handmade patterned papers, and layered textures. Draw inspiration from oceans, flowers, trees, landscapes—or wherever your imagination takes you.
This workshop is easygoing, therapeutic, and fun—no experience needed. Whether you’re looking for a creative reset, a chance to experiment, or simply a stress-free morning making art, the process of collage offers a wonderful way to explore and play.
All supplies are included—just bring yourself and your creativity and relax in a cheerful color-filled art gallery.

About the instructor:
Mae Schneider is an emerging artist and educator entering her senior year at Maine College of Art & Design. She is studying Illustration, with a focus on painting, hand lettering, and ink work, and is especially drawn to portraiture, light, shadow, and the way form comes to life through observation.
She has also taught art workshops for children in Maine public schools.
