Children's Workshop - Dream House Activity

So exciting! Welcome to Mae Schneider, who is the instructor, an art student at MECA, and full of fun ideas!

The project? To design your very own dream house.

A fun workshop which encourages thinking outside the "box" as well as including a brief intro into styles of architecture.

Students will be asked to imagine a challenge where they solve problems of space and function as they ask themselves, "If you could have any kind of house, what would it look like?" Would it have trap doors? Slides? Floor to ceiling books?

They will draw make-believe interior and exterior spaces based on what they consider to be fun, useful, comfortable and interesting. A few prompting questions along the way along with open ended possibilities.
