Basic Digital Photography Workshop with Joe Perna

Wednesdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27 from 6:30-8:30pm

This basic, in-person, digital photography class is intended for beginners and those who are seeking a refresher in using their digital cameras. The goal is for users to control the camera and image rather than the other way around.

Topics for the first session will include basic camera setup and controls, managing ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings to control exposure and other image features.

The subsequent three sessions will cover lighting, composition, lens selection, landscape, still life, and people photography.

The class provides for a great deal of flexibility in content…. based on the interests and skill levels of participants. Optional shooting assignments will be available to practice the material and get feedback.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by an adult, and will need a camera. While the class is intended for digital equipment, much of the material is applicable to film as well. Equipment with no manual setting capability, such as fully auto pocket cameras or phone cameras, will limit application of much of the material.

The cost is $120 for all 4 sessions.

Class meets at Art Up Front Street Studios & Gallery, 120 Front Street, Exeter, NH.

Wednesdays, April 6, 13, 20, 27 from 6:30-8:30.
